Our tip:
Better safe than sorry! We would recommend that any off-piste skiing is undertaken exclusively in the company of qualified guides from the Kleinwalsertal Mountaineering School. They are mountain professionals, know the area like the back of their hands and are capable of making responsible decisions regarding the prevailing weather and snow conditions.

THE KESSLER LIFT IN RIEZLERN
In Riezlern, right next to the Kanzelwand cable car, is the Kessler lift, with a reasonably easy descent making an ideal practice run for beginners and children. Also here, very accessible and enjoying reliable snow cover, is the Crystal Ground Snow Park, the perfect place for free skiers and snowboarders to really let their hair down.
Kickers, rails and numerous obstacles provide facilities for fun, action and cool tricks! After a great day’s skiing the umbrella bar at the bottom of the cable car is the perfect place to stop for a hot drink and something tasty to eat.
Floodlight skiing
For those who simply can’t stay away from the pistes, a night-time ski session is held once a week on the slopes of the Kessler lift. Natually your Kleinwalsertal Oberstdorf ski region lift pass is still valid for this event.
