Our team philosophy
The genuine feeling of well-being that pervades the Sonnenburg is down to the people who work here. Family-run and with a small team of staff, our service is both personal and individual. We work together, but all team members have their own sphere of influence, and you will always find a sympathetic ear should you have any special wishes or requests.
For us, it is important that not only our guests, but also our co-workers, feel welcome and at home. Mutual appreciation, motivated teamwork and a relaxed working environment are absolutely key.

Heike Wohlgenannt
A third generation member of the family, Heike is now responsible for the running of the Sonnenburg. Personable, open-minded and warm, she is always ready to help her co-workers with advice and support. Within just 20 years, the hotel has developed from a simple inn to a comfortable 4-star active hotel.
Priority has always been her family, backed by the supporting hotel team. Heike is a real bundle of energy, a dedicated hotelier and always one step ahead. Her innovative ideas, motivation and joie de vivre are infectious. With her hearty laugh, which can often be heard ringing through the Sonnenburg, and her charming mannerisms, Heike succeeds in really bringing the hotel to life.
